Work warning 2

This course is required by law for those who plan and are responsible for the work, and who are responsible for submitting applications to the municipality/State Road Administration. Employees who will be responsible for work notification must have a documented course in Work Warning 2. This applies to those who are listed as responsible.

The Work Warning 2 course covers advanced topics and issues in work warning. Participants will learn about more complex work areas, such as roadworks in tunnels, on bridges or in areas with high traffic intensity. The course will also cover specific situations such as night work, working in poor visibility or in extreme weather conditions.

An important part of the course is to develop the participants’ ability to risk assess and plan work alert measures. Participants will learn advanced methods to analyze risk factors and devise effective measures to minimize risk. This may include the use of advanced barrier methods, alternative traffic control systems and the implementation of specific safety measures.

The Work Warning 2 course will also focus on cooperation and coordination between different actors in the work warning system. Participants will learn about the division of responsibilities and the interaction between contractors, road authorities, police and other affected parties. There will also be a focus on communication and interaction under demanding working conditions.

Furthermore, participants will be trained in advanced methods of signage and signaling. This may include the use of electronic boards, variable message signs and lighting systems to inform road users about the work area and any changes in the traffic situation. Participants will also learn about the correct use of communication equipment and technical aids used in the work warning context.

After completing the Work Warning 2 course, participants will be able to handle advanced work warning situations in a safe and effective manner. They will have expanded knowledge and competence in risk and safety assessment, planning and implementation of occupational health and safety measures. Participants will be able to take responsibility for coordinating and collaborating with different stakeholders, as well as communicate clearly and effectively under demanding conditions.

The Work Warning 2 course also emphasizes continuous updating of the participants’ knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and standards within work warning. This will give participants insight into any changes in the regulations and ensure they stay up to date with best practice in the field. By completing the course, participants will be equipped to meet the challenges that may arise in work areas with high traffic intensity, special conditions or complex environments.
