A course on hot works is required for anyone who will be working with hot works. Hot work is defined as work involving machinery and equipment that generates sparks and/or heat that can lead to fire. In Norway, the insurance industry requires everyone who performs hot work to have a certificate documenting that they have completed approved training. The course is approved by the Norwegian Fire Protection Association and covers the requirements of the insurance industry.
Objective.
Through our hot work course, you will acquire the necessary and required knowledge in fire safety, including how fires start and develop. You will also learn what precautions need to be taken to carry out hot work safely, as well as firefighting methods in the event of a fire. The course is adapted to the requirements of the insurance industry and is prepared by approved instructors with a focus on educational, interesting and simple learning. Our hot work course is approved by the Norwegian Fire Protection Association and updated in accordance with the new safety regulations 2024.
Target group
Anyone who will be carrying out hot work or be in the role of fire warden in an area where hot work is being carried out.

What do you receive?
Certificate from the Norwegian Fire Protection Association (electronic).
The certificate is valid for 5 years.
Plastic cards can be ordered for an additional fee.
To receive a certificate of competence, the following must be approved
Theoretical exam passed in the course
Documentation of an extinguishing exercise must be submitted no later than three (3) months after completing the course.
Practical training
Requirement for a practical fire extinguishing exercise that satisfies the requirements of the Norwegian Fire Protection Association (form for completion is provided in the course).
Course language
The course is available in Norwegian, English, Polish, Lithuanian and Romanian.
Other requirements
The instructor for the practical fire extinguishing exercise must be an approved instructor in the scheme or an employee of the fire service with expertise in conducting practical fire extinguishing exercises. Documentation of the extinguishing exercise must be submitted no later than three (3) months after completing the course. We offer extinguishing exercises and you will find planned dates in the practice calendar.
